toolswithterry.com belongs to the YouTube channel Tutorials With Terry. Questions about your data: use the contact form on the home page.

The Tool Picker

Your answers to the Tool Picker are worked out in your own browser. They are kept in your browser's session storage so your picks are still there if you come back to the page in the same tab, and they are gone when you close it. Your answers are never sent to us, not even when you sign up for email: the email form sends only your address.

If you give us your email address

When you fill in the email form and tick the box, we store:

• your email address and the time you ticked the consent box,
• which form you used (new tool picks and the free guide) and the site it was on,
• the country your connection comes from, as reported by our host, Cloudflare,
• a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, used only to stop abuse of the form.

We use your address to email you new tool picks from Tutorials With Terry. We do not sell it or share it for anyone else's marketing.

The list is stored with Cloudflare, and emails are sent through Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES).

If you send a request through Work with Terry

The Work with Terry form on this site is for companies that want to sponsor a video. When you send it, we store:

• your name, work email, company, product URL, the package you chose and your message,
• the time you sent it and that you ticked the box to be contacted about this request,
• the country your connection comes from, as reported by our host, Cloudflare,
• a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, used only to stop abuse of the form.

We use it only to answer your request. The request is stored with Cloudflare, our host, and a copy is emailed to the Tutorials With Terry inbox through Cloudflare. It is not added to any mailing list.

We keep it until your request has been answered and the conversation about it is over, then delete it. To have it deleted sooner, or to ask what we hold, use the contact form on the home page.

If you use the contact form

The contact form at the bottom of the home page is for questions about a tool, a video or this site. When you send it, we store:

• your name, your email address and your message,
• the time you sent it and that you ticked the box saying it is OK to reply to your message,
• the country your connection comes from, as reported by our host, Cloudflare,
• a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, used only to stop abuse of the form.

We use it only to answer your message. The message is stored with Cloudflare, and a copy is emailed to the Tutorials With Terry inbox through Cloudflare so we can reply to you. It is not added to any mailing list and is never used for marketing.

We keep it until your message has been answered and the conversation about it is over, then delete it. To have it deleted sooner, or to ask what we hold, send a new message through the same contact form and say so.

Stopping the emails

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and a confirm button take you off the list. You can also reply to any of the emails and ask us to delete your address, or to tell you what we hold about you.

Cookies and other sites

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or ad tracking. The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google sees a request from your browser when the page loads.

Some links on the page are affiliate links. When you click one, you go to the tool's own site, and that site and its affiliate network may set their own cookies under their own privacy policy.
